Can regular individuals rent from you, or do you just rent to corporate work travelers?

Anyone can lease with us. 🙂 Corporate housing is just a fancy term invented decades ago to describe fully furnished rentals with all-inclusive rates and flexible month-to-month terms. Today’s world is much more transient than it used to be. These days, it’s normal for people to arrange their own temporary housing for a wide variety of reasons – not just work. Many of our guests lease from us after relocating to Columbus for a new job position, or while staying in Columbus for a temporary work assignment. But we also host a lot of folks who need a comfortable place to live during medical treatments, during home renovations, while visiting the grandkids for the Summer, while waiting on a new home to be built, while sorting out family situations, etc. If you need a comfortable short term home in Columbus that you’ll actually love coming home to every night, odds are we can help.

What does “fully furnished” mean? What is included?

When we say “furnished”, we mean it. 🙂 Everything we have here in Central Ohio is designed so that you can just walk in with your suitcase and live comfortably from day 1. Our photos show the exact property where you’ll be staying – exactly the way it will look upon arrival – down to the smallest detail. Kitchen cabinets are generously stocked with all the kitchenware and dishes you need to cook and serve a gourmet meal. Your bed will already come outfitted with luxury mattresses from Winkbeds and neatly made with 100% cotton linens from Frette; the brand often preferred by The Ritz Carlton and other 5-star hotels around the world. In the living room, you’ll find a comfortable sofa along with other quality seating, a coffee table, end tables, a TV stand with large smart TV (complimentary DirecTV), cozy lamp lighting, and more. Desks and office chairs are always provided (along with lightning fast Internet) to make working from home a pleasure. Bar stools at the kitchen counter, and in some cases dining tables and chairs, provide plenty of seating for family and friends to visit. A washer and dryer inside the unit makes laundry a breeze. And we include lots of extras to get you started off right – like a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, a wide variety of cleaning products, and more. There’s really nothing else you’ll need. And if you happen to think of something? Just tell us. We actually have a “little things” fund and budget up to $100 for each guest to request anything you might need to feel more at home during your stay. Annoyed by old-school can openers? We will reply quickly and send you a list of available options that match your request. The most important details to share with us are: A) your preferred # of bedrooms, B) the areas of Columbus you are interested in (if you don’t know, that’s OK – we are happy to help you decide!), and C) your estimated move-in date. If there are some “nice-to-have” preferences on your mind, share those with us too! 🙂 We are happy to help with options that feature lots of natural light, minimal steps, covered parking, nature view, proximity to trails, or whatever else is important to you. Your concierge will send you listings to review that feature detailed descriptions with recent photos of the exact unit you’ll be renting, exactly the way it will look when you arrive.

What if I end up needing temporary housing in Columbus longer than expected?

When you stay with Epicurean, you get unparalleled flexibility. There’s no need to commit to a long-term lease because everything we do is “month-to-month”. That means you can stay as long as needed, but you’re free to move out whenever you want. We just charge your card automatically for 30 nights at a time unit you’re ready to move out. At that time, just give us 2 weeks’ notice. If you’ve already been charged for unneeded nights beyond your 2 week notice period, we refund them. What do your Columbus rentals typically cost?

Good question! First, you should know that our rates are all-inclusive. They include not just rent, but *everything* you’ll need for a comfortable care-free stay: all utilities, fast WiFi, DirecTV, parking, washer/dryer, high-quality mattresses, luxury linens and towels, enough kitchenware to cook and serve a gourmet meal, cleaning equipment and supplies, comfortable furniture, lovingly-chosen decor, and much more. You’re also getting flexible month-to-month terms, which means you can stay as long as needed and move out whenever you want (i.e., no long-term commitments). Our all-inclusive rates start at $109/night with a 30-night minimum stay for our small 1 bedroom flats and range up to about $199/night for our largest, most luxurious 2 bedroom options. Our rates are typically about 20% higher than our competitors – but for good reason. We believe life’s way too short to come home every night to a dark, outdated flat with uncomfortable furniture, boring decor, a worn out mattress, and a questionably clean bathroom. That’s why we are proud to specialize in premium options; beautiful flats in modern communities that are comfortably furnished, lovingly decorated, generously stocked, and sparkling clean. We also select only the most desirable units within each community – the best locations with the most attractive features – and often a stunning view. When you choose Epicurean, you get to enjoy a significantly better experience – for a price that’s only slightly higher than average.
